The LAN: Event Frequency Change
From the August event onwards, The LAN will hold it's events roughly once every two months.
The Admins decided that they could put a better experience into each LAN if they were more spread out during the year and this was supported by recent attendance trends, where numbers seemed to peak every two months.
The Admins also wanted to make it clear that this is not a reduction of effort being put into The LAN or of interest in running the events, but an intention of providing a better event. Weekender events will continue to occur as before.
As a result, the next event will be 30 October 2010. This will be AFTER Session 2 exams. Future Weekender events are yet to be decided.
As always, if you have suggestions for the Admins for The LAN, please do not hesitate to make them, either on the forums, or send any Admin a PM.
